Well, looks like we're are off on another vacation trip... this time to the Gulf Islands, on the east side of Vancouver Island... Silva Bay, Telegraph Harbor and Chemanis will be our ports of call.

motoring just out of Horseshoe Bay |
|
only had an hour or so of wind at the beginning |
|
Then the winds died... motoring the rest of the way across. |
Hank and I (Tarka), will be tagging along with Rosa Maria with Arron at the helm and Kia as lookout.

Rosa Maria |
With all food, clothes, water, diesel, and drinks loaded and topped... we're off! Our first leg of our journey was to cross the Straits of Georgia sailing / motoring towards Silva Bay. The crossing should take 4 hours going at 5 knots. Sailing would of been nice! oh well, we're out in the open sea!!!
It was a nice motor... humming along nicely at 2200rpm... around 5.5 knots. Nothing really to mention... just a relaxing trip over, with Hank eating apples, listening to his iphone music on the blue tooth speakers.
We arrived at Silva Bay...

Entrance to Silva Bay |
|
Arron and Hank took a bicycle ride around Silva Bay, finding some history of the island. |
|
Arron trying to start this old tractor... didn't work. |
|
A Lagoon 400S2 charter boat "Migrator" resting at the end of the dock. |
|
Arron busy away on his computer. |
|
Party on board Migrator. |
So ends our first day out...
A nice sleep over at Silva Bay... next that RAIN and of course no wind....Now heading to Telegraph Harbour
