November 25, 2012 - Snug cove

Taking Caroline and Hank to Snug Cove for a weekend getaway.
Coming into the marina

Hank and I motored away from my berth around 2:00 pm Friday, heading towards Snug Cove. No wind going across... a nice motor, but had to avoid the BC Ferry... no problems.

Arrived at Snug cove, greeted by Chelsea, the marina attendant.

Needless to say, the humidity in my cabin was very high, so Hank had to put on my two electric heaters and even turned on the stove oven to "dry" me out.

With all the bedding, clothes, sail equipment put away, I was ready for Caroline to show up. She was coming from work, taking to the ferry over.
Nature Tree - must have a long tap root, seems to stand there for years.

Caroline and Hank went out for dinner at Leftbank... a great little French restaurant, just besides the marina.

Boardwalk by the marina
On Saturday... breakfast at the Snug Cafe, long walks around the nearby parks, ending up for dinner at Miksa restaurant accompanied by a sailing friend "Dominic".
Snug Cafe, GREAT breakfast! as always!

Dominic arrived on Saturday afternoon, sailing "Irish Mist"... a Ranger 28. They moored right next to me.:)

The evening were cool to cold... frost on the deck.

Sailing back home on Sunday... another great weekend getaway.

Irish Mist and Me (Tarka)
Now berthed at my marina, covered over in a blue tarp to keep the birds from "bombing" my deck, and stopping a small leak in my skylight... waiting for my next adventure

Til then...

Tarka.... OUT.
